Arash Ghanbarzadegan

Dr Arash Ghanbarzadegan (DDS,MPH,PhD) is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Adelaide Dental School and lecturer and research fellow based at the University of Sydney. Arash's research areas are evidence-based policy, oral health services, inequality research and the ageing population's oral health. Dr Ghanbarzadegan introduced a new concept model of inequality in dental services (i.e. Triangle of Inequality in Dental Services). He also added new insights into counterfactual multiple mediation and sensitivity analysis using the Ratio of Mediator Probability Weighting (RMPW) approach. Dr Ghanbarzadegan is a health systems researcher utilising qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method methodologies. In addition to his role at Sydney Dental School, he works with the Menzies Centre for Health Policy and Economics, The University of Sydney. In his roles, he works closely with institutional partners such as the Centre for Oral Health Strategy and NSW Health. He is responsible for quantitative policy analysis and supports the evaluation team of the Primary School Mobile Dental Program.
