Antonio Froio received the B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from Università della Calabria, Rende (CS), Italy, in 2012, the M.Sc. degree in energy and nuclear engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, in 2014, the M.Sc. degree in nuclear engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy, under a double degree program, in 2015, and the Alta Scuola Politecnica Diploma degree from the Politecnico di Torino and Politecnico di Milano, in 2015. Since 2014, he has been pursuing the Ph.D. degree in energetics with the Politecnico di Torino. His M.Sc. dissertation focused on simplified model of the cooling system of superconducting magnets for tokamak fusion reactors.
His current research interests include the development of the system-level GETTHEM code for the thermal-hydraulic transient modeling of the primary heat transfer system of tokamak reactors.
