Dr. Fairey’s main areas of expertise include radical surgical procedures for bladder, prostate, and kidney cancers as well as reconstructive surgery of the lower urinary tract following radical cystectomy or pelvic exenteration. He has a special interest in function-sparing procedures (including advanced reconstructive techniques that re-create the natural urination pathway after bladder removal – continent urinary diversion) to optimize quality of life after surgery. Dr. Fairey is actively involved in clinical and translational research studies in patients with bladder, prostate, and kidney cancers.
