Caterina Covello

Caterina Covello was in San Giovanni, Fiore, Italy, in 1986. She received the Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in medicine from the Università degli Studi “Magna Græcia” di Catanzaro, Catanzaro, Italy, in 2012. She is currently attending the Residency Program in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Università degli Studi “Magna Græcia” di Catanzaro. Since 2012, she has been with the Molecular and Cellular Cardiology Laboratory, using both in vivo and in vitro models. Her current research interests include endothelial function, vascular smooth muscle cell physiology, and vascular injury. Within the last years, she focused her research interest on the clinical use of biomarkers with particular regard to ischemic heart disease.
