Umer Mushtaq

Umer Mushtaq received the B.Sc. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, Lahore, Pakistan. He received the master's degree in Sustainable Transportation and Electrical Power Systems from the University of Oviedo, Oviedo, Spain. He is now a Ph.D. candidate at Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands. He worked three years at Fatima Group LTD as a Project and Design Engineer. In 2013, he was awarded an Erasmus Mundus joint master's degree Scholarship from Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Union. His research interests include hybrid reactive power compensation system (Hybrid-STATCOM) for low voltage applications with OPAL RT hardware in the loop system.
