Ana Santos Rodrigues

I'm currently a Ph.D. student at the Biomedical Engineering Institute, Kaunas University of Technology. My research consists of developing novel methods to non-invasively monitor electrolyte fluctuations through an electrocardiogram (ECG). Electrolyte fluctuations can arise in patients whose homeostasis regulating mechanisms are compromised, such as hemodialysis-dependent patients. Moreover, electrolyte fluctuations can lead to life-threatening arrhythmias. Remote and non-invasive monitoring of such imbalances would allow restoring normal levels before the onset of arrhythmias. My research interests include: Personalized Medicine, Cardiology, Machine Learning, Wearable Devices, Data Mining, and Deep Learning. Skills: Matlab, R, Python
