Eddy Johnson Owino

Eddy Johnson Owino is a certified clinical nutritionist and dietician (RDN) who is currently working as a Research Scientist at Kenya Medical Research Institute under malaria department with Evidence for Health group. He is also a clinical researcher whose articles have been peer reviewed and published in the East African Medical Journal. In addition, he is also champion for United People Global. In his current assignment at KEMRI, he is involved in bridging the gap between research and policy formulation by conducting systematic reviews, meta-analysis and also high impact primary studies. He believes that through adherence to evidence based health care and evidence informed decision making among researchers, health practitioners, and policy makers, Universal Health Coverage can be achieved. He also believes that through proper dissemination and use of health policy and systems knowledge by encompassing on best available evidence, health care can be optimized, as well as strengthened health systems.
