Ali Ahmed

Prof. Dr. Ali Meawad Ahmed has a bachelor degree in Veterinary Science from Cairo University, 1989 “Ranked first on his group”. He completed his Ph.D. in Food Hygiene from Suez Canal University with cooperation of Virginia Polytechnic & State University, USA. He was promoted to professor of Food Hygiene in Suez Canal University on June 2007. He was a chief of Food Hygiene Department from 2009 up to now. He was a Vice Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from 2011 to 2016. He was a Vice Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, for Post-Graduate Studies and Researches from 2016 to 2017. He was a Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Arish University from 2020 to 2021. His research interest: food safety and quality, meat inspection, meat hygiene, meat microbiology, fish hygiene, and poultry hygiene. He was published 114 scientific papers in local and international journals in the filed of food Safety. He supervised 39 Masters Degree and 8 Ph.D. students. He won the Scientific Excellence Award of Suez Canal University in 2015.
