Katherine M. Standen

I completed my PhD in the biology department at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2022 on exploring responses of plant traits and plant community to permafrost thaw in the western Canadian boreal forest. My MSc research at the University of New Brunswick was conducted in southern Manitoba as part of the Lake Winnipeg Basin Initiative where I looked at the effects of nitrogen and phosphorus on the leaf traits of the aquatic plant arrowhead.
