Rebecca O'Brien currently works in the School of Health Sciences at the University of Nottingham. Rebecca does research using Conversation Analysis to improve the interactional experiences of those with communication impairments, such as people with dementia. Their current project is 'The VOICE Study: developing and testing an evidence based, communication skills training intervention for acute hospital staff working with people with dementia.' Rebecca is a registered Speech and Language therapist with many years of clinical experience with people with acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
