Patrice Raynaud received the Ph.D. degree in Plasma physic from the University Joseph Fourier of Grenoble, France in 1991. He worked at National Centre of Telecommunication (CNET) of Grenoble (France) from 1989 to 1991 and then joined the French National Scientific Research Centre CNRS at the electrical engineering Laboratory (LGET) of Toulouse (France) in 1992. He is now “Research Director” at CNRS in the LAPLACE Laboratory (Laboratory of Plasma and Conversion of Energy) and leader of the Materials and Plasma Processes (MPP) group. He has authored four book chapters and over 200 papers in refereed journals and international conferences. His current research interests include physics and physico-chemistry of microwave/RF plasma processes, low pressure and low temperature plasmas, thin film synthesis from organosilicon and organometallic precursors, applications to coatings and surface treatments, nanolayering, nanoclustering, optics, microelectronic, packaging, biomedical snf energy.
