My research focuses on the transport and burial of terrestrial particles (sediment, organic carbon, plastics) in the marine environment. My primary interests are to understand what role deltas and submarine canyons play in the trapping of organic carbon and thus CO2. I use methods that span the fields of sedimentology, organic geochemistry, oceanography and field geology.
