Bio
Jindong Song received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in civil engineering from the Institute of Engineering Mechanics, China Earthquake Administration, Harbin, China, in 2007 and 2013, respectively.
He is currently a Researcher and a Master Supervisor with the Institute of Engineering Mechanics, China Earthquake Administration. His research fields include earthquake early warning and emergency response of major engineering earthquakes, and artificial intelligence seismology. He is the Principal Investigator and undertakes the National Key Research and Development Program of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and other national projects. Meanwhile, he is a member of the expert committee of the National Earthquake Intensity Rapid Reporting and Warning Project of the National Scientific Engineering. He took the lead in introducing artificial intelligence into earthquake early warning research and application in China. The earthquake monitoring and early warning system for high-speed railway developed by him as the head of system algorithm won market access through the technical review of China Railway Corporation in 2018.
