My interest lies at the intersection of plant ecology, indigenous and local knowledge of plants, and socio-ecological systems. My recent project looked at the impact of herbivores on tundra ecosystems and sheep farmers' perception of landscape changes. My PhD research focused on berries; their ecology and availability as well as their contemporary and historical use by humans and animals in the Canadian Arctic.
