M Regina Castro

M. Regina Castro is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a Consultant in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, USA. She received the M.D. degree from the Central University of Venezuela, Venezuela. She pursued internal medicine training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, USA, and an Endocrinology Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. Her current research interests include the management of diabetes. She is a member of the Diabetes Core Group at the Mayo Clinic, and a Medical Editor for diabetes content at MayoClinic.com. She has also lectured both at national and international meetings on the topic of diabetes and cardiovascular risk and diabetic dyslipidemia.
