Srinath Rajagopal

Srinath Rajagopal (Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree in biomedical engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, India, in 2002, and the M.Res. degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, U.K., in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in the field of photoacoustics from the University College London, London, U.K., in 2019. Since joining NPL in 2007, he has been actively involved in the development of the ultrasound metrology infrastructure. Previously to NPL, he was a Research Physicist with Precision Acoustics Ltd., Dorchester, U.K. He is the Science Area Leader with the Ultrasonics and Underwater Acoustics Group, National Physical Laboratory (NPL), Teddington, U.K. He has built diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound power primary standards and a secondary hydrophone calibration standard for National Measurement Institutes in Europe and Asia. He has authored at least 24 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Rajagopal represents the International Electrotechnical Commission TC87/WG8 Ultrasonics—Field Measurements, U.K.
