Bio
Martin Allen is an Associate Professor at the University of Canterbury. His group investigates the fundamental physical properties and applications of oxide semiconductors (in particular ZnO, SnO2, Ga2O3 and their alloys ZnSnO2 and InGaZnO.....) that can be used in both transparent electronic devices such as Schottky diodes and thin film transistors and also in wearable electronic sensors to measure the vitamin-D producing and skin-cancer causing wavelengths of sunlight. Key techniques include MBE, PLD, mist-CVD, photolithography, synchrotron XPS, and photoluminescence spectroscopy.
