Darren’s research interests are in the area of biological engineering of cells and viruses, using gene and protein design, in which areas he has over 95 publications. Fundamental contributions involve the manipulation of intracellular trafficking and synthetic gene networks to achieve bioprocess robustness. Application domains of interest include cell and gene therapy, synthetic biology and lab grown meat.
