Juan is a molecular biologist and is developing as a researcher at the Institute of Pathobiology - National Institute of Agricultural Technology - Buenos Aires - Argentina. Juan does research on the interplay between gut microbiota, gut health and productive performance in farm animals by using high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics tools. He also does research on genomics of enteric pathogens, antimicrobial resistance and virology. His most recent publication is 'Microbiota, Gut Health and Chicken Productivity: What Is the Connection?' (2019).
