With my current experience I have become an independent, pro-active and driven researcher in the field of intellectual disability and global health. I have demonstrated that I independently establish global collaborations, develop new data collection and analysis skills and create awareness of the health needs of people with intellectual disabilities. I have worked in different countries and resource settings, understanding the context of people with intellectual disabilities in low, middle, and high income countries. Together with my clinical skills as an intellectual disability physician, I have established a unique profile to initiate high quality collaborative projects identifying health needs and addressing access to appropriate healthcare for people with intellectual disabilities globally.
