个人简介
Natalia Martin is a materials scientist with focus on surface and interface analysis using synchrotron research. Presently, she is a researcher and lecturer in materials science at Uppsala University (Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Division of Solar Cell Technology ).
She started her career in 2009 graduating with a Master of Science degree in Nanotechnology from Umeå University in Sweden. Directly after, she conducted doctoral studies at Lund University, Sweden, in Condensed Matter Physics at the Division of Synchrotron Radiation Research. Her Doctor of Philosophy thesis in 2014 was on Surface Science Studies of Model Systems Relevant for Catalysis. After, she joined the Competence Centre for Catalysis at Chalmers University of Technology, first as an associate researcher (2014-2016), and later as a researcher (2016-2018) working in the area of material's characterisation focusing on the surface and interface analysis, with an emphasis on spectroscopy and diffraction methods performed at synchrotron radiation facilities.
In 2022 she has been appointed as a Docent (Associate Professor) in Engineering Science.
Her research focuses on the fundamental understanding of the atomic and chemical structures in thin film solar cell materials close to interfacial regions, which are important for the development of high-efficiency solar cells. Her other research interests include sustainable energy, surface chemical processes and synchrotron-based techniques.
