I have experience in the field of Veterinary Parasitology, with an emphasis on the eco-epidemiology of leishmaniasis, having worked mainly in the study of domestic and wild reservoir animals and insect vectors, as well as in experimental tests with small wild animals in the research of leishmaniasis. I am currently a Researcher in Public Health at the Leishmaniasis Reference Center, belonging to the Leishmaniasis Surveillance Laboratory of the Evandro Chagas-FIOCRUZ Clinical Research Institute, where my research and teaching activities are focused, especially, on the area of Parasitology, with an emphasis on Epidemiology.
