Victor G Plotnichenko

Victor G. Plotnichenko received the degree from the Department of Physics and Energy, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), in 1974, the Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees in (physics and mathematics) in physics of semiconductors and dielectrics from the A.M. Prokhorov General Physics Institute (RAS), Moscow, in 1977 and 1995, respectively. He was co-author over 270 scientific papers on highly transparent materials and fibers. He is currently a Professor with the MIPT and the Head of the Laboratory of Spectroscopy with the Fiber Optic Research Center (RAS), Moscow. He has been awarded by the State Prize of the Russian Federation for development of infrared fibers in 1998.
