J Douglas Carroll

J. Douglas Carroll received the B.S. degree in mathematics and psychology from the University of Florida, Gainesville, and the Ph.D. degree in mathematical psychology and psychometrics from Princeton University, Princeton, NJ. He is currently the Board of Governors Professor of management and psychology at Rutgers University, Newark, NJ. He is the author or coauthor of various papers published in numerous journals and contributed chapters to or coauthored several books. His research interests include multidimensional scaling, quantitative models, clustering, multivariate statistics and measurement, data analytic techniques relating to marketing, psychology, and other social/behavioral sciences. Prof. Carroll is a President, past-President, or past-Chair of six professional and scientific organizations. He is the recipient of the American Psychological Association Award for Distinguished Scientific Contributions to Psychology, the William James Fellow Award of the Association for Psychological Science, and the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Psychometric Society.
