Bio
Kazuo Isono received the B.E. and M.E. degrees from Tokai University, Tokyo, Japan, in 1993 and 1995, respectively.
In 1995, he joined the Remote Sensing Technology Center of Japan (RESTEC), Tokyo, Japan. Between 1995 and 1998, he worked on the calibration of Japanese Earth Resources Satellite synthetic aperture radar (SAR), ERS-1&2 AMI, RADARSAT SAR, and ADEOS AVNIR. Between 1999 and 2002, he was temporarily transferred to the National Space Development Agency of Japan (currently known as the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), where he worked on the development of the ADEOS-II GLI and AMSR and Aqua's AMSR-E. Since 2003, he has been working with RESTEC, where he has been engaged in work involving the calibration and validation of the Advanced Land Observing Satellite Phased-Array L-Band SAR.
