Bio
Kevin Walsh (M'85) received the B.S.E.E. degree from the Arizona State University, Tempe, in 1983.
He has held several positions with Medtronic, Inc., Tempe, AZ starting in 1988. From 1988 to 1994, he worked in product development as an IC Design Engineer developing custom low-power microprocessors, microcontrollers, and memories for implantable devices. In 1995, he moved to a technology-development organization where he led efforts to advance digital and memory technology for Medtronic. He also led the group responsible for generating digital cell libraries, embedded and stand-alone memories, and digital-design flow. Currently, he works as a Medtronic Technical Fellow in a strategic technology group. His interests include advancements in low-power design, advanced volatile and nonvolatile memory technology, and ultra-low-power fast-prototyping vehicles.
