The High Temperature Materials Chemistry group has a worldwide recognized expertise in the field of high temperature oxidation and corrosion of materials for energy technology. Applications range from nuclear safety research to new materials for gas turbines. The working group has various high-temperature facilities that allow materials to be characterized in defined atmospheres up to 2000°C.
