Cristian Pattaro graduated in statistical and economical sciences at the University of Padova, Italy, in 1999 and the PhD degree in biomedical statistics at the University of Milano in 2006. Between 2000 and 2006, he was a research fellow in the Unit of Epidemiology and Medical Statistics at the University of Verona. In 2004-2005, he was a visiting scholar at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health (Baltimore). Since 2006, he has been a researcher at the Center for Biomedicine of the European Academy of Bolzano (EURAC), Italy, where in 2013, he became a group leader of the Genetic epidemiology and biostatistics research group. His research interests are the development of statistical methods for investigating the genetics of quantitative traits and complex phenotypes, genome-wide linkage and association analysis, meta-analysis of genome-wide association studies, and linkage disequilibrium modeling.
