Maria Chekhova

Maria Chekhova was born in Moscow, Russia, in 1963. She received the Master's and Ph.D. degrees in quantum radiophysics from M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), Moscow, in 1986 and 1989, respectively, and the Habilitation degree in quantum electronics for the thesis “Polarization and spectral properties of biphoton fields” from the same institution in 2004. Since 1989, she has been with the Department of Physics, MSU, as the Chair of Quantum Electronics. She currently carries out research in the field of quantum and nonlinear optics, and quantum information and teaches a course of quantum optics.
