I have a PhD (2000) and MS degree (1999) from the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, University of Maryland at College Park and a Masters from the Delhi School of Economics (1993). I have worked on a large number of areas which have been highlighted in my profile. Right now my major areas of interest are the economics of robotisation, the alleviation of terrorism through nudges, evolving a neoclassical approach to behavioral economics and the link between the attainment of food security and poverty alleviation. I use a multiplicity of approaches depending on what is best suited for the problem at hand: simple theory, the axiomatic approach and econometrics. The idea is to arrive at a solution to the problem being studied in the simplest possible manner .
