Bio
Felix C. Huang received the BS degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and the PhD degree in a combined mechanical/industrial engineering at the University of Michigan, in 1997 and 2006, respectively. He worked as a full-time science teacher with the Teach for America program from 1997 to 1999 in East Palo Alto, California. Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University, Department of Biomedical Engineering, and a research associate at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC). His professional interests include rehabilitation robotics, surgical training, motor learning, modeling of motor control, human factors, mechatronics, haptics rendering, and science education. His recent work demonstrated how motor learning in manual control can be facilitated with the use of destabilizing forces. He is a member of the IEEE, Society for Neuroscience, and Society for the Neural Control of Movement.
