Noorhaniza Wahid

Noorhaniza Wahid was born in Johor, Malaysia. She received the Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons.) and M.S. degrees in multimedia system from Universiti Putra Malaysia, in 1997 and 2000, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in information technology from Sydney University, Australia, in 2011. From 2019 to 2020, she was a Senior Researcher with the Soft Computing & Data Mining Centre (SMC), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). From 2017 to 2022, she was appointed as a Senior Researcher with the Multimedia Research Group (MeRG) and the Center of Excellence of Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET), Institute for Integrated Engineering. From 2021 to 2022, she was a Principal Researcher with the Media & Signal Processing Focus Group (MSP), UTHM. Her research interests include meta-heuristic algorithms in soft computing, data mining, optimization, deep learning, and multimedia in IT applications, mainly virtual reality and augmented reality.
