Since 1989 he collaborated with STMicroelectronics for the design of ASIC. Since 1991 he is associated with I.N.F.N. (1991-1998 with Section of Milan and in 1999 with Section of Lecce) for the design and realization of read-out channel for high-energy physics experiments (like L3 ) and space experiments (like AMS ). In 1999/20000 he collaborated with MEDICO S.p.A. (Rubano - PD) for the design of a low-power front-end for implantable device (pacemaker) applications. His main research interests are in the design of mixed analog/digital integrated circuits in particular for low-power and/or high-speed signal processing. Andrea Baschirotto authored and co-authored more than 50 papers in International Journals, more than 60 presentations at International Conferences (with published proceedings), 4 book chapters, and 16 industrial patents. In addition he co-authored more than 120 papers within research collaborations on High Energy Physics Experiments. Andrea Baschirotto was guest editor for the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - part II for the special issue on IEEE ISCAS 1998. Andrea Baschirotto will guest editor for the IEEE Journal of Solid State Circuits (July 2004) for the special issue on ESSCIRC 2003. Andrea Baschirotto is associate editor for the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - part II since 2000. Andrea Baschirotto has been member of a number of Scientific Committees for several International Conferences and he is a member of the IEEE Analog Signal Processing Group. In addition he serves for the first evaluation, monitoring, and final evaluation of project to be founded by POP-Puglia Project, and by University of Padova. Andrea Baschirotto served the European Solid State Circuits Conference (ESSCIRC 2002) as Technical Program Chairman. Andrea Baschirotto is a Senior member of IEEE.
