Christian Ringhofer received the Ph.D. and Habilitation degrees in applied mathematics from the Technical University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria, in 1981 and 1986, respectively. He has been a Professor with Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ, USA, since 1984. He has held visiting positions with the University of Vienna (Austria), the Technical University of Hamburg (FRG), the Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Jiadong University, Shanghai, China. He has written and coedited six books and more than 140 refereed journal articles. Dr. Ringhofer is a member with the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) and an Associate Editor for the SIAM Journal of Applied Mathematics.
