David M. Brienza received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, in 1986, 1988, and 1991, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor of rehabilitation science with the Department of Rehabilitation Science and Technology, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, with additional professorial appointments in bioengineering and in the McGowen Institute for Regenerative Medicine, Pittsburgh.
