Dr. Xu is an associate professor in SCUT. Before joining SCUT, he earned his Ph.D. degree and worked as a postdoc in HKU. His research includes road safety, big data, and spatial analysis, with particular interests in advancing safety analytics by fusing multi-source data and domain knowledge. He now serves as the associate editor of Transportmetrica A, editorial board member of Accident Analysis & Prevention, and area editor of CICTP 2024. He was awarded as the WoS Top Reviewer Award.
