Nikolay Chkhalo

Nikolay I. Chkhalo was born in Kargat, Novosibirsk, Russia, in 1962. He received the M.S. degree from Novosibirsk State Technical University, Russia, in 1985, the Ph.D. degree from the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics, SB RAS, Novosibirsk, in 1996, and the Ph.D. (Advanced) degree in physics and mathematics from the Institute for Physics of Microstructures, Russian Academy of Sciences, in 2009. He is currently the Head of the Laboratory with the Institute for Physics of Microstructures, Russian Academy of Sciences. He has authored over 200 publications. His research interests include X-ray optics, surface and thin-film physics, optical interferometry, X-ray sources, and projection lithography.
