Abstract
In order to simulate the damage characteristics of the failure blade impacting the composite casing of turbofan engine under high temperature environment, carbon fiber/bismaleimide (CF/BMI) composites widely used in turbofan engine were taken as the research object, and the high-speed impact experiments of Ti-6Al-4 V (TC4) flyer on CF/BMI laminates at different temperatures were carried out. TexGen software was used to establish the CF/BMI meso-model. Based on the quasi-static and dynamic mechanical properties experiments, the parameters of the CF/BMI constitutive model were determined. ABAQUS/Explicit software was used to simulate the impact response of the corresponding experimental conditions, and the influences of temperature on the damage characteristics (delamination damage morphology, dynamic strain and energy absorption characteristics) of CF/BMI laminates were obtained. The results show that high temperature reduces the mechanical properties and anti-penetration properties of the laminates. The damage modes of laminates are mainly fiber fracture, delamination and matrix cracking. With the increase of temperature, the bonding ability of carbon fiber-resin interface becomes weak, and debonding and delamination of resin are obvious. The longitudinal strain of the laminates is greater than the transverse strain, and the energy absorption forms of each layer are mainly strain energy and kinetic energy.
