Acute Toxicity Study of PLGA-Oxaliplatin Microsphere

Objective To study the acute toxicity of slow-release PLGA(Poly lactic-co-glycolic Acid)-Oxaliplatin microsphere and Oxaliplatin through same injection route on mice.Method PLGA-Oxaliplatin microsphere and Oxaliplatin was injected subcutaneously on mice,Bliss procedure was used to determine the LD_(50).Results The LD_(50) of PLGA-Oxaliplatin microsphere on mice was 660.90 mg/kg,Oxaliplatin was 15.24 mg/kg.Conclusion PLGA-Oxaliplatin microsphere can markedly reduce the acute toxicity of Oxaliplatin on mice.
