Abstract
A study of different integration times used for different types of targets is proposed. Depending on the characteristics and movement of the target, the best integration time must be found. For targets with low reflectivity whose trajectory dynamics consist of high velocity and acceleration, it is important to find a compromise solution where the effects of range and Doppler spread do not decrese the detection capabilities. For high-reflectivity targets with slow trajectory motion, low integration times would be sufficient for detection. The study is based on the analysis of results obtained with real data acquired by a passive radar in a maritime scenario during Robotic Experimentation and Prototyping using Maritime Unmanned Systems (REPMUS) exercises.
