摘要
Aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) is a ligand-dependent transcription factor. In humans, AHR presents affinities at exogenous and endogenous chemicals and can regulate the expression of some genes, depending on the ligand. Numerous studies tried to elucidate the basic mechanisms by which AHR produces biological and special toxicological effects. The structural aspects of molecular complexes are essential for predicting biological activity by combining experimental with in silico studies. In this chapter, we presented experimental studies, QSAR studies, and essential aspects of the pharmacokinetics profiles of AHR ligands.
