Abstract
Anti-disturbance control of the proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) air supply subsystem in face of disturbances and uncertainties is of essence in guaranteeing the system performance and safety. This paper is concentrated on the precise control of a crucial performance indicator, the oxygen excess ratio (OER). Firstly, a hysteretic quantizer is introduced to reduce the communication burden in controller channels. Then, an active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) strategy is introduced by constructing an extended state observer (ESO) to estimate and eliminate the coupled disturbance including rapid load variations, parametric uncertainties and quantization errors. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified compared with the traditional PID control method by a simulation test.
