Abstract
All-DC offshore wind farms have the advantages of large capacity and low loss, so people pay more and more attention to them. In this paper, a medium voltage DC/DC converter for large capacity offshore wind turbine is designed and applied to an All-DC offshore wind farm with two stage booster structure. Firstly, the different medium voltage converters are compared, the technical requirements are analyzed, and the ISOS (input series output series)-SAB (Single Active Bridge) converter structure is proposed. Then, the working mode of SAB converter is analyzed, and the control strategy based on ISOS structure is designed to achieve the requirements of stable input voltage and equal output voltage. Finally, the feasibility of converter topology is verified by simulation results.
