Underwater communication system that uses Morse code to transmit text messages over long distances is proposed and discussed in this article. This system will consist of a transmitter that generates acoustic pulses corresponding to the dots and dashes of the Morse code signal and an underwater acoustic modem that modulates the acoustic signal onto a carrier frequency that is suitable for underwater communication. At the receiver, the demodulated acoustic signal will be processed to decode the Morse code signal and display the text message. The idea will involve various aspects of underwater communication, including signal processing, modulation techniques, and testing methodologies. This article explored different modulation schemes and signal processing techniques to optimize the transmission of Morse code over the underwater acoustic channel. The outcome of this project will be a functional Morse code-based underwater communication system that can be used in various applications, including remote control of underwater vehicles, communication in emergency situations, and scientific data collection in the underwater environment.
