A novel semi-empirical soil multi-factor radiative transfer model for soil organic matter estimation based on hyperspectral imagery

•A novel soil multi-factor radiative transfer hybrid was proposed for SOM estimation.•The proposed model can enhance the correlation between the spectrum and SOM.•The SOM spectra can eliminate the interference of other factors in the spectrum.•The SMRTH model perform well in satellites and airborne platforms.
