Effect Of Impella 5.5® On Pre-existing Functional Mitral Regurgitation In Patients With Heart Failure-associated Cardiogenic Shock
Journal of Cardiac Failure(2023)
摘要
Acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) has superseded acute coronary syndromes as the predominant cause of cardiogenic shock (CS). Moderate/severe functional mitral regurgitation (FMR) is commonly seen in patients with ADHF and is associated with worse outcomes. Percutaneous mechanical circulatory support devices are increasingly used to provide hemodynamic support for patients with CS. There is no description of the impact of Impella device on hemodynamic response when used in combination with pre-existing FMR. We sought to examine the hemodynamic response to Impella 5.5 in patients with heart failure associated CS (HFCS) and concomitant FMR.
