Impact of 2019 Mw 5.8 Marmara Sea Earthquake on the seismic cycle of locked North Anatolian Fault segment
TECTONOPHYSICS(2023)
摘要
•Simulations indicate a possible advance in the failure time of the Main Marmara Fault’s locked segment.•Dynamic triggering effects can increase the clock advance up to 1% of its recurrence time depending on the onset time.•Strong brittle-ductile coupling, smaller asperity size, and reduced clamping shorten the seismic cycle.
