Non-extracorporeal membrane oxygenation artificial circulatory support for postcardiotomy syndrome
Cardiopulmonary Bypass(2023)
摘要
Mechanical circulatory support (MCS) is an increasingly important component of the therapeutic arsenal in the treatment of cardiac and cardiopulmonary failure, and its utilization allows surgeons to assist patients who cannot be weaned off from cardiopulmonary bypass. A plethora of MCS device options exist. To optimize the patient care, one must understand the advantages and disadvantages of each device and select the appropriate device for appropriate clinical indications to achieve the best outcomes while minimize the complications. This chapter will provide an overview of temporary MCS devices, including intraaortic balloon pump, Impella, TandemHeart, CentriMag, and durable ventricular assist devices. We will discuss their respective advantages as well as adverse events associated with each strategy.
