Lycopodium alkaloids are numerous and complexed in structures. They are potent inhibitors of acetylcholinesterase (AChE). The efficient synthesis of these natural products is one of the research hotspots of organic synthetic chemists. In this review, we summarized some representative achievements in collective synthesis of Lycopodium alkaloids in recent five years.
