Active Distribution Network Operation Management Integrated with P2P Trading

A new way to manage active distribution networks (ADNs) is proposed in this paper that addresses some of the challenges that arise a large number of distributed and small-scale energy sources in the distribution network area in the future. Rather than using centralized optimization methods, the paper suggests a distributed operation management method with peer-to-peer (P2P) trading based on blockchain technology. The proposed model takes into account network usage fees based on electrical distance and ensures the private and security concerns of prosumers through Proof-of-Authority (PoA) blockchain. The authors also mention a novel network partitioning method that optimizes computational complexity with considering about supply and demand balance and electrical distance. Overall, the paper seems to present an interesting solution to some of the challenges facing ADNs, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through numerical studies based on a practical 152-bus system.
